Speaking to Billy Wayne Tilson, Gerald Scruggs, and Tom Brooks, the three people sharing the booth with him at Irma’s Cafe, Reverend Glenn T. Bilkens, CPA, said, “I, the Reverend Glenn T. Bilkens, certified public accountant, hereby proclaim that in the year of our lord two thousand and nineteen, the market will, at some point, drop 10% from it’s zenith.”

When asked for comment on the proclamation after their morning breakfast, Brooks said, “Glenn often speaks that way, especially on Monday after he’s been preachin’ all day on Sunday.”

Gerald Scruggs, long-time Bilkens counterpoint, offered his opinion, “No shit. Of course the market is gonna drop ten points from it’s peak. I told that dumbshit the first 18 months of Trump’s presidency were the exception, not the rule. If he’s such a hellfire prognosticator, he should be able to tell us when.”

Given an opportunity to specify a time frame for the drop, Bilkens said, “After the Ides.”

Scruggs could be heard yelling from the parking lot, “The Ides of what you dufus?”

Bilkens cryptically replied, “After the Ides my friend, after the Ides.”
